Hello from our Fall Vacation

Well, it is cold in Orange Beach, but beautiful! We are having a great time and I will be sad to see my vacation come to an end.

We started our vacation in Orlando at Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Sofia had an ok time but she did not want to wait to ride the rides and so we only rode 4 things. She saw the princesses and enjoyed that and they signed her book. The 3pm parade was great but it was starting to get cold so we left shortly after that. Final thoughts on Disney....I am glad I did not plan a huge vacation around Disney because she was just not loving it that much. Here are some of the best shots from Disney. Gotta go home and get that Disney outfit listed on ebay!!

5 YEARS!

WOW, my baby girl is 5 today, where does the time go? Just wanted to share a few snapshots from the years. I still remember the day the hospital like it was yesterday...still remember the pain too! I planned to deliver my sweet girl drug free, but at 9 1/2 cm. decided I could not do it!!! I ended up electing to have a c-section over using the vacum and boy that was the best decision!!!! Anywho, stayed in the hospital for 5 days and then took my sweet little bundle home! I never knew true happiness or love until the day I held my sweet Sofia! Mommy loves you so much!!

Wow, it was a great and day and whew, it is over! Everything went really well--except that the ponies were 10 minutes late and I was in a panic!! Everyone came to the party that said they were (except one) and it was a lot of fun! The ponies were a big hit but the kids sure enjoyed the bounce house too! All in all, a great day for my soon to be 5 year old! Lot's of pics!

Birthday Party Update

Well, as the party nears (this Saturday) we are no up to between 18-21 kids!! I had to upgrade to a 3rd pony!! So now the kids will have 3 poines, a small bounce house and a craft table where they can decorate their cowboy hats. Still torn on food / snacks. It is from 2-4 so I don't think I need to serve a full meal. I think just several snack options. What do you think? I am planning chex mix, pretzels, maybe some cookies (in addition to the cake) and what else would be good???

I so enjoy week days off

I took today off since Sofia is out of school today. Man, I love having a weekday off. Seems like you can just get so much more done!

Update--I have accomplished a lot today:

• take my car for oil change
• take truck to have lift gate fixed
• go to Wal-Mart and by craft supplies for party
• drop off sweatshirts and jackets for monograms
• watch several episodes of Jon and Kate + 8
• take a nap

whew, I have been busy!

Well it is using your imagination

So I was sitting in here at the computer catching up on blogs and Sofia was playing with her horses in the hall and playroom. I see her sitting outside of the office in a pile of clean laundry with one of her horses wearing a pair of Curious George panties on his head. Why, you ask? Well, I asked her too and she replied..."It's his fly mask". Well that is true, horses do wear gly masks. Guess she is using her imagination.

Madagascar Fun

Sofia and I went to see Madagascar 2 today and it was really cute. Very funny, yet some of it adult type humor that kids would not get which made it a little more entertaining for the parents. Very cute and I recommend it!

The last soccer game

Well today was a great game for Sofia and the Chivas, but it was also the last game of the season. We have all decided to play again this winter, so that will be great! The team is really getting along well together and Sofia has made some great friends! Here are a few snapshots from today's game.

Preschool Pictures

I am really happy with how her school pictures turned out. Especially since they were taken in the afternoon after nap and lunch! Can't believe this is the last preschool picture she will have taken. Wow, time goes by so fast.

So I have not watched SNL during the campaign season--I have just checked out the videos on You Tube, etc. This one below is one of my favorites!

I Voted

I voted bright and early this morning and the polls were so packed! But that does lead me to this...

today I am thankful for a last name that begins with A - L --- because the line to vote was super short!!! I am also thankful to live in country that allows me to vote and play a role in our own future.

nice cool nights finally arriving in Arizona and spending it with new friends at Music in the Park.
