I thought I would finally recap our Vegas Weekend.
I headed up Wednesday (driving) since Honey was in Dallas for work. It's an easy 4.5 hour drive from our house to the Strip. Thank goodness for XM radio because I have zero cell coverage half of the way there.
I made to the Monte Carlo and this was my view.
I spent a little time window shopping and went down to the pool for about an hour, before getting cleaned up to go and pick up Honey from the airport.
Friday night we headed to Lotus of Siam for dinner. It was good. Not great, but good. We love Thai food and this is supposed to be the best in Vegas. If you go, have the appetizer with crispy rice - by far the best dish we had. I was adventurous and had the whole red snapper with panang curry (my fave).
After our Thai we headed to "Germany" to Hofbrauhaus for dessert. And beer.
After that we called it a night and headed back to our room. We also decided we are too old to party all night in Vegas. We just don't have the desire to do it!
Saturday started off at the delicious Crepe Expectations! yum!! Mimosa sampler? Yes please!!
I enjoyed "The Evis" - peanut butter, caramel, bananas and bacon! YUM!!
Then we stopped by the Pawn Shop because that's just something you do.
We spent rest of the day wandering the strip until we went to Sushi Koma for all you can eat sushi.
Saturday night we got all dressed up to go and see Jerry! He was awesome!!! We laughed the entire time!! Typical Jerry Seinfeld!
After Jerry. we headed over to the Minus5 bar. We put on our winter coats, hats and boots and enjoyed a few drinks before calling it a night.
Sunday we headed over to Hash House a go go for some amazing breakfast and then headed home. Here I am looking super excited about the Sage chicken and waffles! Don't worry, we split this entree! Service was fast and friendly. They are open 24 hours and we only waited about 15 minutes. It's inside the Quad Casino. I highly suggest making your way here. (ignore the light dagger that is shining on me..stupid iPhone)
Now, if you find yourself thinking..."boy, all they do is travel to eat" you would kinda be right! We love trying new places and we seek out the best! By "best" I don't mean the most expensive either. We turn to Trip Advisor, Food Network, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and that is how we decide where we are going. Plus since at home I am always watching my diet (strictly Paleo) it is nice to kick back and enjoy food!
What about you? Do you research restaurants before your vacation or am I the only food obsessed one here?
On a side not, now this week I'm eating super clean since I have my half marathon on Saturday!
I'm participating in the Hump Day Blog Hop with Fitness Blondie!
