It's no secret that I LOVE a good bargain. I love projects. But most importantly, I love finding or recreating expensive things for low prices!
This week I wanted to share my lamps!
I had only been in TX a couple of days and Honey had to go out of town for business. So, what's a girl to do? Shop!! I strolled around in Pottery Barn and saw these pretties:
I really liked them! I did not like their $150+ price tag (plus the shade).
Well, imagine my surprise when the next day at a Goodwill (one of 3 I went to in 1 day) I found this gem:
Not exact, but I liked it. I liked even more for $4.99.
So I decided to go back to PB and compare the two. I decided to buy the same shade at PB and add it to my lamp. $38 for the shade was a little rich for me but I decided the overall price would still be doable.
My #PBhack:
And a side by side comparison:
Well...what's better than one fabulous lamp??? TWO fabulous lamps! The next day (at another Goodwill) I found this beauty (which I think is from Target) for $12.99. I went back to PB and got a larger shade (same gray burlap for $43):
So, for just under $100 I have about $400 worth of PB look-a-like lamps.
What about you? Have you hacked any PB items lately?
