Sofia's Sleepover Party

We celebrated Sofia's birthday early this weekend with her sleepover party. Her birthday isn't until the 20th, but this was the only free weekend we had to celebrate.

She just wanted a sleepover, so she invited four friends over. They had a blast. I'm told they went to sleep at 4:30am!

To make things semi orderly, I planned a few structured activities and then left the rest of the evening up to them.

  • Initial Canvas Painting
  • Photo Shoot
  • Makeover Station
  • Sleep shirt decorating
  • Movie zone
Snapshots from the evening:

Presents!

Singing "Happy Birthday"

Cute water bottles for everyone (thank you DollarTree)

Back bends and back tucks in the photo shoot zone!

Cupcakes!

Marshmallow Pops (so easy, find them here!)

So our upstairs is pretty sparse. Just the kids bedrooms and well, Sofia is the only kid here right now, so she took over the entire upstairs. We leaned the box springs from the boy's beds up against the wall, covered with table cloths and this because the photo shoot zone complete with props. Again, thanks DollarTree!

Love the smile on her face here!

The girls with their masterpieces!

Well, you are almost 10!

Goody baskets: water bottle, fuzzy socks, eye masks, shirt for decorating, notebooks, picture frames, candy, nail polish and manicure sets! Everything from Big Lots and the DollarTree

The sleep zone! We took the mattresses from the beds and placed them on the floor side-by-side and this was the sleep/movie zone - complete with big screen! I stocked up on glow sticks, bracelets and necklaces for the girls to have fun with! Oh and pink and white Christmas lights!

For some reason, I didn't upload the final pic of the tablescape, I'll post that later. Here is the start of it. Oh and yes, that is the peacock tutu from Sofia's Halloween costume in the center!

All in all, an easy party idea and the girls had a great time!

What a GREAT party, Whit! Loved all the ideas and planning that went into this! I just know the girls had a great time!

Well, it's here!! LSWho v. Bama Week! Believe it or not, we haven't been picked on as much this year by our LSWho friends. They actually think they're going to lose. I'm worried about Auburn, though! Did you see Saban on 60 Minutes last night?? Roll Tide!!
