Today's Thrifty Treasures

It was a great weekend for Yard Sales! I allowed myself to have $40 on Saturday for spending and on Friday I had $20. That is it!!!! I went over .75!! Make sure you head on over to Southern Hospitality to check out everyone's great finds!

Friday - Stopped at 2 sales on my way to work.

1st Sale:
Metal bird seed stand - $2.00
Black cauldron - .25
Grossgrain watch set - $1.00
2nd Sale:
Steal of the Day - Paper Denim and Cloth (new with tags on) jeans - $10.00!!!!!! These are my awesome 1st goal jeans (remember I am taking Alli). I should be sporting these about 10lbs from now! This lady had previously hosted home clothing parties and had an entire rack of designer jeans - Hudson, Blue Cult, PDC, People's Republic, etc. However most were 2's and 4's and well, thats just not in my destiny!!

Total spent on Friday - $13.25

Saturday
Saturday we stopped at several sales - some good, some bad. I checked out Craigslist the night before (I highly recommend this. Lots of folks are using this now for their ads) and made a plan for the morning. I had my $40 + $6.75 left from Friday. I saw that a few sales were starting at 6am so since Sofia was up at 5:30, I got up to and we got going.

1st Sale - uh, WOW. $20.00 (yikes nearly 1/2 my money) bought me this!!!!!!!!

2 chairs, 2 chaise lounges, 2 side tables and cushions. My house had patio furniture at it, but well it is ugly so this is lovely!!!!

2nd Sale - Barbie scooter for Sofia $1.00

3rd Sale - I saw this ad on CL - charity yard sale, tons of families - sounded great. Prices were really good and hey, they were selling donuts too! I picked up several items (some for eBay) for super cheap.

small beaded black clutch and not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 Vera Bradley purses. .50 each

Beautiful set of 4 appetizer trays and serving rack - $1.00 small black and white metal bucket for Sofia's bathroom - .25 All of these clothes - $3.25
shirt, j-crew hoodie / sweater and book .25 each
new with tags horse pjs - .50
cheer applique shirt .25
dress - .50
twinset with palms - .50Future cheetah costume for Sofia - .25AWESOME IMPULSE Buy of the Day - Croquet Set $3.00
Sofia is very excited to play. I plan to mostly use this for a prop for some outdoor portraits. However, Sofia has already tried it out at home and whacked me in the nose with one of the mallets. Yes it hurts and is swollen and bruised. Set is brand new has all six mallets and balls (though Sofia has played with 2 of the balls and can not locate them!!!!).
4th Sale
I just picked up some clothes for me and a few baby items for a friend at work
All of these clothes - 2 Banana Republic sweaters, Tommy Shorts, CK shorts, 2 dresses to wear over bathing suit, Old Navy T and 2 baby outfits - $4.00
Baby items for my friend and dish set for Sofia - $3.005th and Final Sale -

Bama Girl, I think you should get a prize for the most stuff for the least amount of moolah! WOW, you got some great things. That little free table is adorable. Someone else found a croquet set too! Those must be getting popular again. I love all your clothes deals. I'll have to look up those jeans you mentioned, never heard of that brand. I love the deals! Thanks for playing.

I love seeing what everyone has found in their treasure hunting. You found a lot of treasures. The patio furniture was a steal. Even the cheapest lounger is $70-100 bucks new. I would love a croquet set. Too bad you already got bonked in the nose. Sorry but I laughed when I read that.
